Kevin’s win is a direct result of the work he and the GardaWorld Security team have delivered through the Downtown Portland Clean & Safe Public Safety Program since August 2022, including over 200 lives saved, a 17-point reduction in theft and shoplifting, and a 17-point improvement in downtown worker retention across 2733 city blocks.
As our Operations Director Steve Wytcherley put it: “Kevin has been essential in transforming the Public Safety Program. He personifies our approach of Safety First, Customer Service, and Problem Solving.”
This recognition builds on the partnership’s 2025 regional wins for both Outstanding Security Partnership and Outstanding Security Team— a testament to what this public-private collaboration continues to deliver for downtown Portland.
