A new community plaza honoring a Portland legend
Downtown Portland Clean & Safe and the Visit Downtown Campaign manage Darcelle XV Plaza in partnership with the City of Portland and Portland Parks & Recreation.
Through a multi-year agreement, this collaboration brings dynamic programming to downtown while honoring the legacy of the late Walter Cole and the Darcelle XV Showplace, the longest-running drag cabaret on the West Coast.
800 SW Harvey Milk St, Portland, OR 97205

This fully paved plaza features multiple accessible entry points from the sidewalk and is known for its striking geometric sails, which create shaded coverage across the space. Darcelle XV Plaza hosts performances, art installations, festivals, and community gatherings year-round, including free outdoor concerts all summer long.
