Downtown Portland welcomed the season with the second annual Ducky Drop at Director Park— a free, family-friendly event that brought hundreds of people together for an afternoon of fun on Friday, July 13.
With support from Hoffman Construction and Star Rentals, over 2,000 rubber duckies were dropped from a crane into Teachers Fountain. Children and families waded into the water to collect their favorite ducks, turning the heart of the city into a playful splash zone.
The event featured live music and entertainment from DJ George, Spencer Sprocket, and Whimsy Care’s giant bubbles. Families enjoyed sweet treats from Nico’s Ice Cream, Marsh&Mallow, and Stoopid Burger, while kids searched for specially marked ducks to win prizes.
Special thanks to Hoffman Construction, Star Rentals, and Travel Oregon for making this joyful event possible.
