The Portland Winter Light (Non)Festival is here, and the future is bright!

Founded by the Willamette Light Brigade, the 6th annual Portland Winter Light Festival (PWLF) is back again with hopes to unite the Portland community through artful outdoor light installations decentralized around the city.

The Portland Winter Light Festival is an event that has attracted more than 200,000 people for past festivals and included a concentrated installation along Portland’s riverfront. This year, in observance of COVID-19 restrictions, the light installations will be installed throughout the city for socially distant, comfortable, and safe enjoyment.

Downtown Portland Clean & Safe and Portland Business Alliance are pleased to support this event with eight light installations called “Magic Spaces” created by the Artist Director, Chris Herring, in downtown Portland month of February. Outdoor installations will be located at the Broadway Building, Nordstrom, Fox Tower, Pioneer Place, and the 10Y Building.

PWLF’s mission is to build community by producing cutting-edge art and technology to diverse audiences while invigorating Portland in the winter.

The Portland Winter Light (Non)Festival is FREE and operates February 5-6 and 12-13! So jump in a car with folks from your quarantine bubble, and check out the festivities!

*Masks are required. Thank you to Prosper Portland, TMT Properties, Brookfield Properties, CVS, WeWork and Capital One for making their spaces available for these installations.
