Summer in the City at Director Park

What a summer it’s been at Director Park! We’ve seen thousands of Portlanders and visitors come together for unique and engaging experiences. Downtown Portland Clean & Safe is thrilled to share our highlights from this fantastic season.

From May through September, Director Park welcomed 146,590 visitors, with 195 events over the summer. Here are some of our standout events:

  • Formula E Activation
    Visitors got a close-up view of Formula E race cars and experienced the thrill of a racing-inspired bike path through the park.
  • Piano Push Play Grand Opening
    Celebrating season 12 of Pianos Across Portland, we unveiled ten new artist-designed pianos, and local musicians performed alongside audience members.
  • Fencing Across America
    This interactive event introduced visitors to the excitement of fencing, building anticipation for Team USA at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
  • Beautiful Street Festival
    A weekend of dance, art, and music filled the park, celebrating street and club dance culture and uniting the Portland community.
