Committees

The Downtown Retail Council (DRC) is the voice for Downtown Portland’s consumer business. Membership is open to retailers, restaurateurs and hoteliers within the Downtown Portland Clean & Safe District.

From working to develop and conduct cooperative retail promotions, to overseeing the implementation of the Downtown Retail Strategy and accessing market research that contributes to retailer success and retention, the DRC represents the collective interests of downtown retailers related to the public environment and public policy decisions.

The Central City Standing Committee is a committee of the Portland Business Alliance, an affiliate partner of Downtown Portland Clean & Safe. The committee meets monthly to consider public policy priorities related to the vibrancy, economic development and livability of Portland’s Central City.

Actions determined by the committee inform the Portland Business Alliance member-driven policy agenda and our advocacy work. Businesses located within the district are encouraged to participate.
