Destination Stewardship Award of Excellence – Sydney Mead
On the 24-26 of September, the Downtown Portland Clean & Safe team travelled to Washington, D.C. to join hundreds of business improvement districts from around the globe at the International Downtown Association (IDA) 2025 Annual Conference. Sydney Mead, Senior Director of Downtown Programs, was honored with the Destination Stewardship Award for her amazing work on Coraline’s Curious Cat Trail. Congratulations, Sydney!
Global Security Exchange Conference
Downtown Clean & Safe Operations Director Steve Wytcherley and Board Chair Eric Farley travelled to New Orleans with Clean & Safe security partner GardaWorld for the 2025 Global Security Exchange (GSX) Conference. GardaWorld was nominated for three awards and ended up winning them all!

We are proud to report that Kevin McGraham, our Public Safety Contract Director, was honored with the Outstanding Contract Security Director award. Kevin has been in his role since we began our contract with GardaWorld, and he has done a phenomenal job.
