Downtown Portland Clean & Safe welcomes newest board members

Meet Downtown Portland Clean & Safe's newest board members

Downtown Portland Clean & Safe board of directors is excited to announce their three newest board members. Welcome Tauseen Malik, Tessa Peterson, and Ken Antell

Tauseen Malik is the general manager of Hilton and Duniway Hotels. Tauseen considers himself a global citizen, as he’s had the chance to live and experience different cultures globally. Born in Kashmir, a valley in the heart of the Himalayas, he was fortunate to get a strong foundation in the hotel industry by attending The Swiss Hotel Management School in Switzerland. His father was a surgeon and his mom was an electronics engineer, so early on education and training were a core component within the family. His work ethic and many of the work philosophies are a result of his upbringing and seeing how his parents worked passionately within their industries and how they treated people.

Tessa Peterson is the general manager of the Hoxton Hotel. She began her career at The Hotel Monaco and has spent time at RiverPlace and Sentinel before settling into the Hoxton this past winter. During her time in Portland, She has watched the city grow and seen areas change over time. The improvements in the Pearl District brought new life into NW Portland, and it was so wonderful to watch the West End come to life during the time she was at Sentinel. She would love to see Old Town/Chinatown go through that same sort of revival.

Ken Antell is a partner in Dunn Carney’s Real Estate Team who focuses on commercial real estate purchase, sale, financing, and leasing transactions. He has extensive experience in development, construction, and entity structuring in real property transactions. During his more than 30 years of practice, Ken has represented buyers, sellers, borrowers, lenders, landlords, tenants, and other stakeholders in numerous transactions involving high-profile shopping centers, office buildings, and industrial and multi-family properties.
